Why DevEx pays less than Robux cost to buy
Buying and cashing out are different transactions with different rates. Roblox sells Robux at roughly US$0.0125 each and pays out earned Robux at US$0.0038 each — a ratio of about 3.3 to 1.
The gap is not a hidden fee. Broadly it covers payment processing on the buy side, app-store commission where the Robux were bought in-app, platform and infrastructure costs, and the share Roblox retains as the operator of the marketplace. Every platform with a creator payout programme has some version of this spread.
Knowing the number is more useful than resenting it: the DevEx rate, not the store price, is what determines real revenue per Robux for a creator.

Income tax
A payout is income. Whatever obligations apply where you live, they apply here, and withholding may be applied at source depending on the documentation on file.

The payout provider takes its own cut, and some methods add a fixed charge per transfer.

A second currency conversion
The payout is denominated in US dollars. Your bank converts it to rupees at its own rate — generally worse than mid-market — and may charge a receiving fee.
Eligibility is a separate question
A calculator can tell you what a rate implies. It cannot tell you whether you qualify. Roblox sets the Developer Exchange rules — minimum balances, account and identity requirements, supported countries and payout methods — and revises them over time.
This site deliberately does not publish a current requirements list, because a stale one is worse than none. Check the official Roblox Developer Exchange documentation before making any decision that depends on it. Nothing on this page should be read as confirmation that you are eligible, or as advice to apply.
Roblox has also operated more than one DevEx rate at once, applying different rates to Robux earned in different periods. The single configured rate used here is the standard published rate; if your balance spans multiple rate periods, your own figure will differ.

What is DevEx?
The Developer Exchange is the Roblox programme that lets eligible creators convert earned Robux into real money. It has its own eligibility rules, minimum balances and payout process, all set by Roblox.

No. It is a pre-tax, pre-fee estimate of the gross amount. Income tax, withholding, payment-processor charges and the rate your bank applies when the payment lands in rupees will all change the final figure.
Am I eligible for DevEx?
This site cannot tell you that. Eligibility, minimum Robux balances and the countries supported are set by Roblox and change over time — check the official Roblox Developer Exchange documentation for current requirements.
